WAREHOUSE LIGHTING INSTALLATION

Energy costs are a major overhead in warehouse operations and logistics. The MSE team specialises in energy-efficient warehouse lighting installation and all other aspects of electrical installation and maintenance for the logistics sector.

Busy logistics and distribution workplaces need good lighting to provide a safe environment for delivery drivers and warehouse employees, especially those operating machinery. Good visibility means hazards can be seen more easily and avoided.

Replacing lighting in logistics environments with energy efficient LEDs also helps to meet the requirements of the government’s Lighting for Workplaces code of practice and avoid the problems of fluorescent lighting such as flickering and poor reliability.

The benefits of LED Lighting in Warehouses

Poor lighting can lead to staff sickness, including eyestrain, migraines and headaches linked to ‘sick building syndrome’, which can also cause lethargy and poor concentration. Studies show that bright, glare-free LED lighting improves staff concentration levels and can reduce sickness absence.

Lighting Services Customer Testimonial  “I came to the decision that my team would benefit from daylight balanced lighting. You immediately understood my request and made an accurate estimate of my existing lighting. Within a couple of hours you had helped me acquire superior equipment at a vastly lower cost (than I had estimated), fitted and cleaned up. The net result of using MSE is that we saved over £1,000 in capital expenditure and our energy bill has reduced significantly.”  David Stoltz Director, Infologic

LED Warehouse Lighting

LED lighting is simple, cost-effective and sustainable. You can choose from a range of lighting options suitable for logistics environments including high bays, low bays, linear battens, cob lamps, and floodlights.

Your lighting energy bills can be reduced by up to 75% and with almost no maintenance for up to 50,000 hours of problem-free use you can avoid downtime and minimise repairs.

We also offer external lighting for warehouses including car park lighting

LED Floodlights for Logistics Companies

Outside spaces in logistics settings also need good illumination. Externally mounted floodlights can improve visibility for visitors, staff members and delivery drivers with impressive illumination and controlled beam angles to minimise light pollution. They can be installed on roofs and walls or mounted on pillars.

Warehouse Lighting FAQs

What are the requirements for warehouse lighting?

Aisles and open spaces in warehouses, storage facilities, logistics and distribution centres need good lighting systems. This will allow inventory to be easily identified and retrieved, employees and vehicles can navigate safely through aisles, and the risk of accidents and damage can be minimised.

What types of warehouse lighting should I replace?

Typically, older warehouse lighting systems such as high intensity discharge (HID) lamps or older fluorescent tubes are installed in high bay or low bay lighting fixtures above the centre of aisles. They are often mounted five or more metres above the ground so maintenance can be challenging and there will be areas of poor illumination.

Often, lamps and fittings are out of date and inefficient, they will degrade over time, and are often left on all the time, adding to energy costs. In most cases lighting levels can’t be adjusted when different parts of your warehouse aren’t in use.

What certifications do you hold?

MSE has been registered as an approved contractor with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) for over 20 years. We are regularly assessed to the highest standards so you can rely on our LED lighting installation services for your warehouse and logistics operations.

Do you offer additional electrical services for warehouses?

Emergency back-up lighting is essential in a logistics setting to make sure that tasks can be completed and equipment safely turned off if there’s a power failure. People must be able to see how to leave the building safely in an emergency. Your system will be tailored to your location and must be regularly and effectively tested. An energy efficient and robust LED emergency lighting system with automated testing can simplify the process and reduce the risk of human errors.

The MSE team can also install electric fork lift charging points. Speak with us if you are planning to install designated forklift charging stations. We can make sure they are fitted with the necessary safety features and that they are secure and accessible. If needed, we can also install ventilation in the charging area and air quality monitoring equipment.
