Hot seats

As temperatures fall we’re receiving a lot of enquiries about electric warehouse heating solutions.
We recently installed these infrared heaters for one of our logistics clients. They have ‘magic lamps’ designed to warm the people in front of them rather than the air. This keeps people comfortable without the usual bright red glow.
We included time delay switches as part of the installation, so the heaters aren’t left running for long periods. This improves energy efficiency and keeps costs down.
Other services for the logistics sector
The MSE team provide a range of services for businesses in the logistics sector.
Design and installation. When you are moving or expanding your logistics operations lighting, heating, IT systems, communications and other equipment all need electricity. You might want to consider underfloor power cabling or ducting at floor level, on walls, or in ceiling spaces. To avoid costly disruptions to your business an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) device will provide battery backup if there’s a power cut.
Lighting. In busy logistics and distribution settings you need good levels of lighting to keep your employees safe, especially those operating machinery and delivery drivers. It’s important to make sure hazards are visible. If your employees don’t have enough light they could also suffer from headaches, for example, which will affect their concentration. Replacing your lighting with LEDs improves both energy efficiency and illumination.
Fork lift charging. There are strict operational and safety requirements for charging electric vehicles such as forklifts. Accessible and secure designated forklift chargers should have emergency stop breakers so they can be disconnected from the power supply. Mounting height is important to make sure there aren’t any trailing wires. People need enough space to move around the trucks safely while they charge. Depending on the types of vehicles you use you might also need ventilation and air quality monitoring.
