Lighting upgrade for signage workshop
Posted on 31st January 2025

The MSE team recently managed and installed a full LED lighting upgrade for our Northampton-based signage client.
The project included a complete anti-glare LED lighting overhaul for the office and corridor areas. The workshop and paint/print areas also have a much brighter and more efficient working environment. As always, our thanks go to our friends at Midshires Electrical & Lighting for their expert support.
The results speak for themselves
These upgrades should result in reducing annual CO2 emissions by almost 13tonnes. Our clients can also look forward to reduced maintenance costs because all the fittings come with a very respectable five-year warranty. Overall, significantly lower running costs mean they can expect a great return on their investment. The installation will pay for itself in just over a year. Here’s to brighter, greener workplaces!
Why choose LED lighting for your commercial premises?
Here are some things to think about if you’re considering changing or upgrading the lighting for your commercial premises.
Save money and reduce emissions. Most importantly, energy-efficient LED lighting helps you reduce your annual energy bill and your carbon footprint.

Cost vs value. LED lighting is more expensive than conventional options. However, as well as significant annual energy savings you will find they are much longer lasting. LEDS use up to 80% less energy and can last five times as long. So, you’ll quickly save more than the initial cost of the installation.
No mercury. Unlike florescent lights, LEDs don’t contain mercury which is harmful to the environment. Old-style florescent bulbs require safe disposal which adds to your costs.
Choice of lighting. LED lights come in many sizes, types and colours. Depending on your requirements, there’s almost certainly an option to suit you.
Retrofitting. Many new building designs include LED lighting but it’s also straightforward to install LED alternatives for your existing lighting.
