Sustainable business

It was a pleasure to be part of the recent Northampton Town Football Club business club.
The Silverstone Circuit was a superb venue and it was great to see a number of our clients in attendance.
We had really insightful talks on the subject of sustainability which is something we are proud to help businesses achieve.
Sustainability for electrical installations
Climate change, energy efficiency, and sustainability are important for all businesses. A sustainable strategy for electrical installation and maintenance reduces your environmental footprint and saves money on energy bills.
Energy-efficient lighting. Upgrading the lighting systems in industrial and commercial settings saves energy and offers a good return on investment. Traditional lights use much more energy, have a shorter lifespan and require more maintenance. Modern LEDs use 70% to 80% less energy than incandescent bulbs. When used with lighting controls, such as motion sensors, timers, and dimmers they make a big difference to energy use.
Renewable energy. Renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines can help reduce energy costs. Energy storage systems allow you to make efficient use of wind and solar power.
Efficiency. Monitoring how you use machinery and equipment can help reduce your energy consumption and save money. Regular inspections, servicing and upgrades ensure everything continues to work efficiently. You can plan replacements and benefit from the most modern energy-efficient alternatives. Smart technologies and control systems provide accurate real time data on energy use to help you reduce waste.
Energy management. An energy management system will help you to analyse and improve your energy use. You can set energy performance targets and monitor your progress. You can use the information you collect to find the best ways to save energy while maintaining and improving efficiency.
Building design. Well insulated and sealed buildings reduce the need for heating and cooling and help minimise energy waste. An energy audit will help you understand where you can make improvements. This might involve extra insulation, window replacements, and improved ventilation. You can use sensors to minimise the use of lighting, for example, where there’s enough daylight available.
Smart solutions. The Internet of Things (IoT) devices can monitor, analyse, and optimise energy consumption in real time. You can automate processes to reduce waste and streamline energy use.
