Improved theatre lighting in the visitor's suite
We recently replaced a theatre’s old compact fluorescent downlights and emergency lighting with bright new energy efficient LEDs.

The upgrades included a dance studio, a large suite where audiences can enjoy their interval refreshments, and the lower stage stalls area.
The old lights were mostly ineffective, sometimes with only one lamp working, so the new lighting is a big improvement. All the replacement LED fittings work with the theatre’s existing DALI dimming system.

What is a DALI system?

A Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) is ideal for events and entertainment venues. It provides flexible and intelligent digital lighting controls. Any manufacturer can use a DALI system because it’s based on an open protocol. It simplifies transferring commands between the control system and lights. For almost thirty years the DALI has helped lighting designers simplify new lighting systems.

Why choose LEDs for entertainment and event lighting?

LEDs use less energy and don’t generate as much heat as older-style lights, so they also reduce fire risks. Modern LED lights offer a wide range of colours and effects, so they help you create just the right atmosphere. When connected to lighting controllers they can synchronise perfectly with onstage activities. They are robust and long-lasting too, providing flexible and reliable lighting solutions.
Create the right atmosphere in your entertainment venue with LED lighting.

Increasing entertainment value

Because they’re easy to use, LED lights are increasingly popular for enhancing overall events, adding to audience experiences. In fact, they can offer a range of options and special effects to add interest and impact.

Customised lighting

You can use bright LEDs to project images onto ceilings and walls, creating impressive backdrops. You can change the colour and temperature of your lighting to suit your venue at different times and for multiple purposes. Automation and artificial intelligence can simplify complicated lighting designs and integrate with other control systems. You can adapt your lighting based on sounds, rhythms, or even audience reactions, to optimise timing, colour patterns, and movement.
