Electrics for a new retail kiosk in Weston Favell installed by MSE.
We were delighted with this project for our client Mundays Appliance Repairs. MSE installed new power and lighting systems at their new kiosk at Weston Favell Shopping Centre. They now have a well-equipped and efficient space.

Visit them to make sure repairs for your washing machines, refrigerators and other household appliances are in safe hands.

Electricity supply for kiosks and pop-up stores

Bespoke small units and pop-ups in High Streets and shopping centres offer another dimension to shopping experiences. As a result, the demand for alternative types of stores and shops is increasing.

It’s an ideal way to test products or services in new locations and to take advantage of seasonal sales opportunities. Small, pop-up and temporary retail spaces are ideal for everything from Santa’s Grotto to Easter egg sales. You’ll want to make them eye-catching and practical so a reliable electricity supply and enough sockets makes all the difference. Requirements might include:
lighting
heating
product displays
point of sale (POS) payments
collecting customer information
keeping track of stock
product demonstrations.

Your established retail competitors probably have all the electrical outlets they need. You might only have a couple of electric sockets to work with, which probably isn’t enough for your needs.

First you’ll need to work out your electrical requirements and design a floorplan so you know where electricity is needed. Power strips and extension cables might tempt you, but you could risk electrical overloads. You should ask a professional electrician for advice about the electrical capacity you need and how to provide it safely.

To minimise your requirements and reduce cabling consider using Wi-Fi to power Bluetooth speakers and POS sales terminals. Use smartphone charging pads to keep your apps running smoothly. Energy efficient LED lighting can also reduce the electrical load and save money too.

Please get in touch if you’re planning a small but beautifully formed retail experience.
